Shankill Library

Shankill Library is a single storey Carnegie building with a garden to the front, set on a quiet road near the centre of Shankill village.  The smallest of our public libraries, it has been part of the community since it was built in 1912.  The building’s architectural style was influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. In its early years the building also served as a courthouse and even a temporary church.  The library was renovated in 1978 and again in the 2000’s.
