Join dlr libraries online for some wonderful events connected to our new outdoor reading initiative dlr Scéal Trail. Have you discovered the lovely story walk project located outside dlr LexIcon yet? dlr Scéal Trail is an outdoor story reading project that can be enjoyed by young and old alike, and ideally together as a family unit. Read more about dlr Scéal Trail here.

For those lucky enough to be within the 5km restrictions you can visit dlr LexIcon. For those in other parts of the County the Scéal Trail will be on display up to Christmas and beyond.

Author of Geansaí Ottó Sadhbh Devlin has created a lovely online programme of events to accompany the project. These events include readings of Geansaí Otto, as well as design your own jumper or geansaí for Otto, as he doesn't really love his grandmother's designs! We also have a knitting workshop for children and their parent/grandparent/ uncle/ godparent or guardian, even if they are at remote locations to each other. Child and adult will knit lovely fairy blankets together, perfect for the fairy followers in your family! Aoife Munn will be on hand to create some natural crafts, made from materials that can be found close by in nature or on your woodland walks. And illustrator of Geansaí Ottó, Roisin Hahessy will be live all the way from Brazil for some illustration and drawing workshops, how exciting! Read on for full details.

Geansaí Ottó: Live reading and design workshops with author Sadhbh Devlin

Tá stíl ag Ottó agus is breá leis éadaí deasa. Ach ní thuigeann Mamó rud ar bith faoi chúrsaí faisin. Nuair a thagann geansaí gránna eile sa phost uaithi tá rogha ag Ottó - caithfidh sé rud éigin a dhéanamh... Léifidh Sadhbh óna leabhar úr-nua agus beidh deis agaibh bhur geansaithe féin a dhearadh freisin!
Ottó has style and he loves fashionable clothes. Unfortunately, his Mamó doesn't understand anything about fashion and when another ugly jumper arrives in the post from her Ottó has to do something... Join Sadhbh for a reading of her brand-new book and a chance to design some jumpers of your own!
