National Volunteering Week, coordinated by Volunteer Ireland, is a week in the year when everyone in Ireland is encouraged to give volunteering a try. Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Volunteer Centre matches people interested in volunteering with not-for-profit organisations, charities and community groups looking for volunteers. We have a database of volunteering opportunities to cater for everyone’s interests, skills and availability:

Volunteers can deliver meals to older people in their homes, teach literacy and numeracy, give computer classes or arts and craft classes, operate help-lines, provide counselling, work in charity shops, do administrative work, run sports teams, organise events, carry out community clean-ups, befriend older people or people with disabilities, help children with homework, paint and decorate, provide information about rights and entitlements, develop and update websites for charities, work in a summer camp or work at a one day summer festival!
