What is a podcast?

The term comes from combining "iPod" and "broadcast."
An easy way to understand it is audio on demand. You listen when it's convenient for you. You can access it 24 hours a day.

What happens if I don’t return my loans on time?

From 1st January 2019, public library members across Ireland will not have to pay fines for overdue items and no existing fines will be collected. All overdue fines on members’ accounts as of this date will also be removed. However, no fines does not mean no responsibility! Members will continue to receive reminders and overdue emails to prompt them to return items to their library and are asked to return items on or before their due date to allow them to be borrowed by other library users. Restrictions may be placed on library cards with overdue items.

How can I register for My Open Library?

You must be 16 years of age or over to avail of the service. Registration is free and open to dlr library users. You need to register in person during staffed hours at the library at which you plan to use MOL. If you wish to use MOL at more than one library, you need to register separately at each location. Contact details are listed for each branch at Find your Library.
