Czech Heroines & Good 100

This striking double exhibition, by renowned Czech illustrator, artist and writer, Mrs. Renáta Fučíková, was launched by His Excellency Mr. Petr Kynštetr, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ireland, on 17 May. The opening ceremony was also attended by An Cathaoirleach Councillor Lettie McCarthy.

Czech Heroines, an illustrated mosaic of stories of important Czech women - queens, politicians, artists, scientists and athletes - was inspired by the 100th anniversary of the enactment of equal suffrage for Czechoslovak women in 1920.

Good 100 is a set of illustrations of selected important moments in the history of the Republic from the founding of Czechoslovakia in 1918 to the present.
