dlr LexIcon is an award-winning, five-storey cultural landmark that opened its doors in 2015. As Ireland’s largest and most visited public library, it welcomes an average of 1,300 visitors each day. 

Home to over 135,000 items across its adult, junior and local history collections, the LexIcon also offers more than 60 public computers, 165 dedicated study spaces and a floor devoted to Local Studies and Irish authors. The building also houses the dlr Municipal Gallery, curated by the dlr Arts Office making it a vibrant hub for learning, creativity and community engagement. 

The versatile Lexicon Studio includes tiered seating for 101 guests and can host up to 125 people with adaptable seating arrangements. The seating can be retracted to transform the space for a wide range of event layouts. If required, an Event Curator is available to assist with the event.

Night performances from €450 - 6pm onwards

The meeting rooms at dlr LexIcon are the perfect place to host business meetings and interviews. All rooms have WiFi access and large flat screen TVs, ideal for use with laptops and presentations. Can provide connection through HDMI or Click-Share. On-site technical support is also available.

Catering at the LexIcon 

All catering is supplied by the inhouse catering team who have a café situated on the ground floor of the LexIcon.

Parking is available at dlr LexIcon. The car park has 100 spaces with the entrance located off Queen’s Road. 

There is 24-hour security and CCTV in operation for your safety and security 

Opening hours are from 7am to 11pm, 7 days  

per week 

The rate is €2.40 per hour with a capped rate 

of €6.00 per day. There is an overnight charge of €4.00
