Shankill Library Classic Irish Book Club

Would you like to read & discuss timeless works of Irish literature in English? Staff member Brendan will facilitate conversations on Joyce, Wilde, Yeats, Beckett - and any others suggested by attendees! - on the first Thursday of every month at 7.00PM. Pending expressions of interest, we shall start on 6 February with James Joyce's The Dead, often described as the greatest short story ever written in English.

Copies of Dubliners, where you'll find The Dead, will be available to collect in the library all during this month.
