This exhibition is a taster from the main exhibition shown on Level 3 from 9 December 2021 - 9 February 2022. The full exhibition can be seen online here. It offers insights into the lives of the residents of these grand homes and the people who made their living from working in the house or on the grounds. It highlights how the Big Houses in the dlr area fared during the revolutionary period and how they were adapted and changed for use as convents, hospitals and schools during the twentieth century.
