Looking for something educational and fun for your baby or toddler? Come along to one of our fantastic Baby Book Clubs in dlr Libraries. Baby book clubs run monthly in 6 dlr Libraries.

The aim of the Baby Book Club is to introduce babies and young children to the love of books and reading as well as socialising with others in a library setting.

We encourage and support parents and carers to share in reading books, telling stories, singing songs & rhymes together as well as engaging in craft based activities based on books, as a source of pleasure and fun for children.

Baby book clubs also create a great opportunity to hear expert advice and knowledge on the benefits of reading to your babies and toddlers.  Recommendations as well as practical tips are given at each session, to make reading and involvement with books an every day activity, as well as a pleasure.

You are bound to pick up a few tips at every session, the Baby Book Clubs also provides a great chance to meet other parents in as well as introduce your child to the library from a young age.

If you havent already collected your Babies Love Books pack you can do so at any Baby Book Club. Did you know every child born in dlr County is entitled to a free board book? To find out more about our book gifting programme, please click here.
