Squeeze In A Read for Ireland Reads - 25 February

The Ireland Reads campaign is asking everyone to ‘squeeze in a read’ on Saturday 25 February. Visit www.irelandreads.ie and you can pledge to read on the day, sign up for reading reminders, and see how much time has been pledged so far.

The Ireland Reads website also offers book recommendations suited to a person’s interests and the time they have available. There are more than 1,500 recommendations from librarians all around the country, or you can visit dlr libraries website here and try out some of our staff picks

You can simply enter your favourite type of book and how long you would like to read each day and the website will offer a suitable book suggestion and work out how long it will take to complete – so you can set yourself a reading challenge if you want - a couch to 5k for books!

To celebrate Ireland Reads Day, dlr Libraries will be hosting a series of events across our libraries on Saturday 25 February.

Treasure Hunt

Join in the fun of Ireland Reads with a treasure hunt around Stillorgan Library. Follow the clues, solve the riddle and enter the draw for Fun Prizes! Drop in during Library opening hours to take part. 10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm

Join us and chat with other members about books at this social community event. Bring your favourite read and your notebook to jot down other’s suggestions. Select a new author or genre. No booking required, just drop in on the day.
