Artist talk with Debbie Castro and guest speaker Gráinne Hope from GBHI

We are delighted to have Debbie Castro in dlr LexIcon to talk about her exhibition “Age is a privilege, unless you forget!” and to dialogue on the effect the illness had on her, her father, his friends and family.

As well as Debbie Castro we have partnered again with GBHI: Global Brain Health Institute and have guest speaker Gráinne Hope.

Professional musician and music & health specialist Gráinne Hope will begin to uncover a universal language transcending cognitive barriers, fostering connections and enriching the lives of individuals, families, and communities. In adversity, personalised music becomes a source of empathy, resilience, and hope.

Amidst the harmonies and dissonances of life affected by dementia, personal music takes centre stage. It serves as a lifeline, connecting individuals to memories and emotions amidst cognitive challenges. This melodic journey sparks brain connections, offering familiarity in the face of the unknown.
