Children's Writing Club, dlr LexIcon

The dlr LexIcon children's writing club read their group poem 'I am Dún Laoghaire' at our Family Day on Saturday June 24th in the dlr LexIcon Studio. The dlr Writer in Residence for 2016-2017, Sarah Webb, set up the writing group in September 2016 and the group has gone from strength to strength with Sarah's careful mentoring. A special thanks is due to local poet Lucinda Jacob who came in to work with the group on poetry.

Well done to the club and we look forward to launching an exhibtion of the childrens' work at our next Family Day on Saturday 14th October in dlr LexIcon, which will also celebrate Children's Book Festival that runs for the month of October across Ireland.
