Ballyogan Library
We are delighted to open Ballyogan library at the Samuel Beckett Centre. The new library is bright and spacious, comprising 1,300 square metres over two floors, accessible by a lift, and includes an outdoor area. The library will cater to adults, children and young people, with a dedicated Teen area, Cubbie and events room. There are lots of study spaces, free Internet and Wifi, PCs, printing, copying and scanning facilities and a Changing places bathroom. It will provide a welcome space for all in the community to enjoy, study, read, relax and participate in events.
As part of the development of this new library, we engaged with the community to inform the design and layout of the library building. We have taken on board many of those suggestions. This is the first Dún Laoghaire Rathdown library with a dedicated sensory space, dedicated teen area, music studio and creative room. Everything in the new library is brand new, so lots of lovely books and other items to borrow!
Initially the library, during its opening phase will open Monday to Friday 9.30-5pm. Over the next few weeks it will move to full library hours, please check the website for up to date information: libraries.dlrcoco.ie;
