dlr Libraries Christmas calendar of book recommendations for younger readers!

In the lead up to Christmas 2021, dlr Libraries shared a children's book recommendation each day on social media.

Most suited towards younger readers, or for anyone that loves a picture book, you will find a glorious collection of great reads that showcase the talent, creativity and colour of the wonderful writers and illustrators on the green Isle.

While we created this online exhibition for December 2021, these books can be enjoyed and read at any time of the year, so keep the recommendations close at hand for when you want your next great picture book.

Remember that dlr Libraries also has a book set collection consisting of 1000's of books that are available to all schools and early learning centres in the county. We encourage all teachers to avail of their very own teachers' card that allows for multiple borrowing over a long loan period and to make use of this wonderful service.
