dlr Writer in Residence 2018-19

Congratulations to our new dlr Writer in Residence 2018-19, Sarah Maria Griffin who will join us at dlr LexIcon at the beginning of July. Her first novel, Spare and Found Parts won the European Science Fiction Awards Chrysalis Award in 2017 and her collection of essays about emigration, Not Lost, was published by New Island in 2013. Her non-fiction has appeared on Buzzfeed, The Rumpus, Guts, Winter Pages and she writes a weekly podcast column for The Irish Times. Her second novel, Other Words For Smoke will arrive in Spring 2019. She was NUI Maynooth's Writer in Residence for 2017-18. Further details regarding Sarah's programme which will have a broad focus on History/Herstory will be announced in the coming months. She tweets @griffski
