Poetry Day Ireland at dlr LexIcon

Also taking place for the second year in a row, we were delighted to welcome back pupils from Holy Child Killiney who drew images from their favourite poems in chalk on the pavement. The poets included, amongst others, Mark Doty, Robert Frost, Siegfried Sassoon and Christopher Logue. The idea was suggested by their teacher Ciara Flannery last year and it was another highlight for this year's Poetry Day Ireland. Thanks to all 8 TY students and congrats to them! Visitors to the LexIcon can still see fragments of the images as they walk into the library at Haigh Terrace, despite the heavy showers.
