A successful dlr LexIcon Family Day

dlr Libraries' most recent Family Day was held on Saturday, 24 June in dlr LexIcon. A great day was had by all! There were circus performers, storytellers, puppets, a Viking archaeology dig, face-painting, yoga and lots and lots of LEGO bricks. Thanks to everyone who made the day such a success! 

The Family Day was to launch our Summer Stars reading programme which will take place across all dlr libraries throughout the summer.

Summer Stars is a nationwide free programme to encourage children to continue reading in the summer months. To be a Summer Star all you have to do is register at your local library and read six books before the end of August! There will be some fun rewards along the way and a chance to win some big prizes!
