Summer Stars Reading Programme: Fantastic Prizes to be won!

The Summer Stars reading programme is running in public libraries throughout the country this summer. Summer Stars is a free programme, open to all children.

Each child who registers for the programme at their local library joins in the fun of reading lots of exciting books during the summer. Children will receive their own Summer Stars Reading Card to record their progress and the Summer Stars Reward Stamp will be added to their card at the library for each book read. Fun rewards will be provided along the way. At the end of the programme, all children who have participated will be invited to attend an awards event.

If you haven't already signed up for Summer Stars in dlr Libraries, there is still plenty of time. Sign up in any dlr Library and get your colourful Summer Stars Reading Card. Every time you read a book and return it to the library you get your card stamped and once you collect 6 stamps you can post your reading card into the prize draw boxes in any dlr library. 

 

Once your card is in the prize draw boxes, your card could be pulled in win one of our fabulous prizes. Each branch library will choose three cards from the prize draw boxes to win either a €20 IMC cinema voucher, a €20 dlr Leisure voucher and a €20 Smyth toys voucher. There are also lots and lots of spot prizes including €10 Smyths vouchers, baseball caps and bags to be won. Spot prize winners along with branch library winners will be invited to our special prize-giving ceremony in dlr LexIcon on Saturday 17th September. Three top prize winners will be chosen on this date. Remember you can enter reading cards as many times as you like into the prize draw boxes. The more you read, the more cards you fill, the more chances you have to WIN!

Closing date to return all reading cards to the draw boxes: Weds 31st August
