Sensory Sessions - dlr Libraries’ Monthly Workshops for Neurodiverse Children

Sensory Saturday

dlr Libraries’ monthly Sesnsory Sessions are tailored for neurodiverse children and their families. One adult guardian is required to attend with a child/children and can feel free to join in the fun.

dlr Libraries will also have an area set up with a selection of sensory toys and equipment. Should children need time to self-regulate, there will be space and time to do so.

For more information, or to go on our mailing list for neurodivergent events email: libraryculture@dlrcoco.ie

Join Karen Andersen for these sessions, designed for neurodiverse young people. The child will get to explore a multitude of sensory materials following their natural curiosity and their thirst for knowledge. The session is designed to provide a fun, supportive environment where the parent can follow the child’s lead in what order they want to do the activities. All of the materials are taste-safe and nut-free.
