Step back in time to 1695 and set sail on an incredible journey with the legendary ship, the Ouzel Galley. This magical exhibition brings to life the exciting story of a ship that left Dublin Bay over 300 years ago. Discover what happened to the ship and its brave crew through the illustrations of artist Bex Shelford.

Fun activities for you!

Come and pick a spot on the map to guess where the treasure from the Ouzel Galley might still be buried in Dublin Bay! Explore the exhibition with a special activity booklet, full of drawings, fun things to spot, and creative ideas for your own artwork. The story of the Ouzel Galley is waiting for you. Let's discover the legend and maybe even find some treasure along the way!

Make Your Own Sea Bird!

Sat 12 October, 10.00am - 11.00am: Suitable for ages 5 - 7 years

Join us for a fun workshop where you'll create your very own 3D seagull with flapping wings! Use your imagination to design your sea bird with a cool seaside theme. Get ready to craft a unique seagull that's ready to soar over the ocean!

Create Your Own Treasure Chest!

Sat 12 October, 11.30am - 12.30pm: Suitable for ages 8-11 years

Join us for an exciting art workshop where you'll make your very own treasure chest! Using different materials, design a 3D treasure chest. What is a treasure to you? What will you hide inside? Come and let your creativity shine as you create something truly unique!

Mythical Sea Creatures from the Past! 

Tues 15 October, 10.00am - 11.00am: Suitable for ages 7 -9 years

11.30am - 12.30pm: Sutiable for ages 10 -12 years

Dive into our art workshop and bring your imagination to life as you create your own mythical sea creatures! Inspired by the fantastical marine life of the Ouzel Galley age, sculpt magical sea animals from plasticine. Transform your creative ideas into amazing sea creatures, just like the ones from ancient ocean stories!
