Podcast Studio

Have an audio project or podcast that you've wanted to start but lacked the space/equipment? We have a podcast studio in Ballyogan Library with the equipment you need to get started. A room with a professional mic and computer with Garageband are available to book and use for whatever audio project you're working on free of charge. The room is soundproofed to 65db too but bear in mind the space is not suitable for band practice or very loud music.

We also have a guitar, keyboard, amplifier and cables available to use or to just try out and have fun! 

We recommend bringing a USB to save any files you create in the studio.

Music Room

A music room is available in Dalkey Library. The room contains a piano, harp, guitar and digital piano and is available for anyone wishing to practise these instruments. Please note the room is not fully soundproof. We ask that you do not conduct lessons in the music room, it is for use by one person at a time.

Guidelines for Use of Music Room

• Bookings are for a 50 minute period but may be extended at the staff desk if the Music Room is available  

   

• At the end of each session please clean surfaces, lock up Music Room and return Music Room Key to staff desk  

   

• Children under the age of 16 must always be accompanied by an adult.

   

• Appointments will be held for 15 mins after the booked time 

   

• Bookings can only be made 1 week in advance 

   

• Consumption of food and drink is not allowed in the Music Room
