Emerging voices: St John of God services art show and competition

Callan Institute, (Saint John of God Community Services) Emerging Voices Art Competition and Exhibition is an example of how art can be used as a form of communication and self-expression for individuals with an intellectual disability. The theme for this year’s exhibition is ‘Fáilte’ which is Irish for welcome, and this aligns with our value of hospitality.
In St John of God Community Services, hospitality is about ‘Offering a welcome to those in any kind of need. Every day we say ‘come in, you are very welcome’ and every day we are inspired by the strength, humanity and hospitality of the people that we work alongside.
This year celebrates the 20th Anniversary of this event, and for the last 10 years, Deansgrange Library have hosted this exhibition during March.Over the last 10 years, it has been wonderful to acknowledge all the visitors to this exhibition and we hope that you will come and enjoy the ‘Emerging Voices Art Exhibition’ event in March 2025, where together we continue to foster a creative and inclusive environment where every voice is heard and celebrated.
