Our townlands, a local history talk by Padraig Laffan

Would you like to know more about the local history of the area around you? Come along to find out about the different townlands of the area, including Deansgrange, Kill o the Grange, Foxrock, Cabinteely and more. How they came to be, how they came to be named and where they all are.
The Foxrock Local History Club held its first meeting in January 1981 and has been giving talks and outings every year since. The area covered by the Club includes the old Kill parish townland areas of Cabinteely, Cornelscourt, Deansgrange, Foxrock, Galloping Green and Newtownpark. Over the past 44 years they have covered many local topics and general history of the country around. Their short and all day outings have brought them to many of the major historic sites in the country. They have published many of their talks and have currently 93 publications in their booklet series.
