Smartphone Filmmaking Workshop with the Dublin Smartphone Film Festival
Participants will join filmmaker Robert Fitzhugh to create short captivating films with their smartphones in this hands-on workshop designed for beginners. They'll learn the essentials of shooting and editing with accessible technology. At the end of this workshop you’ll have a completed film made by you and your fellow group members.
You will learn:
• Shoot cinematic footage from a short script using simple techniques
• Edit your film directly on your smartphone using user-friendly apps like CapCut
Materials: Participants just need to bring their smartphone
Robert is a filmmaker and festival director working prominently with mobile phones. He has extensive festival experience, having been involved with several film festivals both nationally and internationally, including the Fingal Film Festival and the Reel-world Film Festival in Toronto, Canada. Robert is a firm believer that mobile devices make video-making accessible to everyone. He founded the Dublin Smartphone Film Festival to connect the Irish and international mobile filmmaking community and to celebrate mobile-made films on the big screen.
