Family Day is a free and fun day of activities at your local library. We have programmed a wonderful 'fusion' day of events to help welcome the spring in!

We will celebrate both the Irish cultural traditions around Spring /‘Imbolc’ with lively Irish language events and also the Chinese New year that is also welcomed in February, this year 2018 being the year of the dog. You can expect a Chinese Tea Ceremony, Tai Chi for little ones, kite making, dog doodling and art workshops, 'An Fear Grinn Gealach', an Irish clown (but we suspect language will be no barrier to laughing at this funny man!), rhythm workshops with Rossa Ó Snodaigh of Kíla fame, as well as Bricí Spraoi imagination events through Irish language, Chinese paper making and cutting workshops, face painting and many more fabulous events.

No booking necessary, but do come along early, as first come first served.  Pick up our Family Day flier with full details in dlr Libraries or view it online here.
