Family Time at your Library

Family Time at your Library activities are provided to engage family members in the enjoyment of reading and sharing stories. The whole family are also introduced to collections of children’s books, e-books and e-audio books.

The Family Time at your Library events aim to support a family-focused approach to reading with children as part of the national Right to Read programme and to increase awareness of the benefits of reading and promote reading as a fun, recreational activity for children.

Highlights in dlr Libraries include the visit of Ashwin Chacko to Dundrum Library on Sat 3 December and to dlr LexIcon on 10 December.  We're delighted to welcome back the wonderful Wayne O'Connor on 10 December, when he will be visiting Blackrock and Deansgrange Library.  Simonne Schuemmelfeder from StoryGate joins us in Shankill and Blackrock on 14 December for what promises to be some fun filled adventures with puppets.  Watch out for the Library Treasure Hunt around Stillorgan Shopping Centre too.  And did we mention Cool Food in Dundrum, and Winter Card Making in Dalkey and Cabinteely?
