On Friday 18th September we awarded our Lego prizewinners 2020 their prizes, with the help of An Cathaoirleach Councillor Una Power and Elaine Bowden from Bricks4 Kidz, South County Dublin.

A huge congratulations to our winners but also to all 23 children that entered the competition and livened up the children's library in dlr LexIcon from Wed 16th to Friday 18th September. While we didn't have as many entries to our competition as in previous years,  we were delighted to see the 23 builds arriving! The standard, flair, imagination and skill were all of a very high standard and it was a difficult judging process as usual for Elaine Bowden from Bricks4Kidz.ie  All entrants put a huge amount of time and effort into their builds and they are all winners for building and entering and we do hope they will be encouraged to keep building and to keep an eye out for dlr Libraries Lego competition 2021.

All children that entered the lego competition received a certificate. Our winners all received 50eur One4All vouchers and the crowd favourite winner also won a voucher for a weeks lego building camp with Bricks4Kidz and also gets their name added to the perpetual trophy that resides in dlr LexIcon. Please do come to see the trophy when libraries reopen after Level 3 restrictions.

Well done all!
