Celebrate Irish language and culture this Seachtain na Gaeilge with dlr Libraries. We have some fabulous events lined up to help put Gaeilge in your ears and the best of Irish language comedy, music and poetry on your tongue. Events will be bilingual and accessible to those who want to bring more Irish into their lives but don’t know where to start!

dlr Yarnspinners: Storytelling Circle for Adults

dlr Yarnspinners Storytelling Circle is aimed at gathering people together who are interested in listening to and sharing stories. Pull up a chair by our virtual fireplace and a professional storyteller will share their stories, then open the floor to those who have their own stories to tell. No pressure to tell, all listeners are welcome!

  • Third Wednesday of the month
  • Free admission, no booking required, suitable for Adults
  • Complimentary refreshments available from 6pm

Blackrock Library closure

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Blackrock Library has had to close for the remainder of today Friday 1st and also tomorrow Saturday 2nd March. Please check our website and social media channels for updates.

Deansgrange 'My Open Library' closure

My Open Library service at Deansgrange Library will be unavailable this evening Friday 1st March and tomorrow morning Saturday 2nd March, due to unforeseen circumstances.
The library will close today Friday at 5pm and reopen tomorrow Saturday at 10am.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
