Blackrock Library re-opened on 16th June 2014 following extensive refurbishment. The library, which celebrated its centenary in 2005, has been fully updated, modernised and extended while enhancing the original features of this protected Carnegie building.
New features include:
- Mezzanine area
- Extended public internet service
- Self-service facilities, including printing (on site, mobile and from home)
- Greater selection of books, CDs and DVDs
- Study facilities
- Separate reading room - ideal for book clubs, browsing magazines and relaxing
