Tovertafel / Magic Table

The Tovertafel / Magic Table plays a series of games that are projected onto a table and are designed to encourage playful physical activity and social interaction. 

Available for use in dlr LexIcon, Deansgrange and Dalkey Libraries, Magic Tables are often used in settings for those  with dementia or  living with neurodiversity. The games encourage players to reach out and touch the colourful images which respond to their hand and arm movements, allowing users to play with light and shapes.

Musical Memories Choir

Musical Memories choir gives people an opportunity to come together in a relaxed environment and reconnect through music.
Music and singing helps lift mood, provides cognitive stimulation and supports social interaction.

The 'Musical Memories' choir is for older people, specifically welcoming to people affected by dementia and their family carers. Led by a professional choral director and taking place weekly.

Thursday mornings 11am-12pm in Deansgrange Library
