April Flash Fiction Competition

In recognition of Earth Month 2026, we are inviting submissions to our second annual flash fiction competition in Deansgrange Library. Entries should be limited to 1,000 words or fewer, inspired by the theme of Earth Month. Copies of submissions will be displayed in the library during May and three stories, chosen by library staff, will receive prize vouchers worth €30.  

• Entrants must be aged 16 years +
• Please drop your submission into the Deansgrange Library or email them to deansgrangelib@dlrcoco.ie before 20 April 2026
