Creative Writing with Lia Mills *Fully Booked

Lia Mills, author of Another Alice, Nothing Simple, and Fallen, as well as many anthologised short stories and essays, will give a nuts and bolts fiction writing workshop. We’ll focus on historical fiction, but the principles apply to all fiction. We’ll talk about research and how to use it; how to manage time and place; how to organise your material; and how to bring your characters to life.
Lia Mills writes novels, short stories, literary essays and memoir. Her novel, Fallen, was the Dublin/Belfast Two Cities One Book selection in 2016. Stories and essays have been published in journals such as the Dublin Review, Stinging Fly, the Dublin Review of Books, Winter Papers, Banshee and in several anthologies. An experienced creative writing facilitator, she is a mentor with the National Mentoring Programme.
