Discover Irish Kids Books Tea Party

You are invited to the Great #DiscoverIrishKidsBooks Tea Party! No fewer than eight of Ireland’s top children’s authors and illustrators are throwing a magnificent tea party to celebrate Irish books, curiosity and creativity. What a day we will have! For starters, doodle potty teapots and cookie cookies with author and illustrator Alan Nolan! For main course, join famous duo Leona Forde and Karen Harte to make Milly McCarthy’s next adventure at the Magical Milly Doodle Dock, and for the bravest of little ones, become a monster for the day in our Shapeshifter Station with World Book Day author Kevin Moran. 

For dessert, snuggle up in our cosy story corner with Ireland’s beloved picture book writer and illustrator, Mary Murphy, and design your own geansaí at the Jumper Jamboree/Geansaithe Gleoite with award-winning author Sadhbh Devlin! Finish it all off with a cuppa (of cordial!) and cookie before you cast wishes with Wonderlarker and dlr Arts Office Established Writer-in-Residence Eve McDonnell, and bring home a very special poem written just for you by dlr Arts Office Emerging Writer-in-Residence Ruth Ennis.
