dlr Libraries: Services for those with additional needs

Did you know dlr Libraries have been working hard to make our library services and spaces more accessible, especially for those with additional needs.

This Autumn, dlr Libraries are organising a series of talks, both online and in-person on the subject of neuro divergence as well as additional needs, including a realm of talks on ADHD (programmed by ADHD Ireland), Dyspraxia, Sensory processing and other subjects. All are welcome to attend. Please see below for booking details.

  • Neurodiversity in the workplace with Ken Kilbride, CEO ADHD Ireland, Tuesday 4th October 7.00pm | Live/In person in dlr Lexicon Studio. Booking via Eventbrite.
  • ADHD in Women and Girls with Claire Twomey, ADHD Coach, Tuesday 11th October 7.00pm, Online. Booking via Eventbrite.
  • Online Helping Siblings, when your child has a neurodiverse diagnosis, a talk with counsellor/psychotherapist Fiona Hall Wednesday 19th October 6.30pm, Live/in person in Dundrum Library Max 30, Bookings via dundrumlib@dlrcoco.ie
  • Bake along with Lizzie Acker & chat about ADHD/neurodiversity Tuesday 25th October 7.00pm. Online. Booking via Eventbrite.

Active classes for children with additional needs during mid term: Tues 1st-Thurs 3rd November:

  • Yoga for additional needs with Lydia Sasse, 10.30-11.30am and 12noon – 1.15pm
  • Active Academy movement sessions with Lisa Redmond, 2-3pm
