Improvement works for Cabinteely Library

On re-opening, Cabinteely Library will have:

· A full rewire of the building, new fire and intruder alarm systems

· New solar panels, a heat pump, more efficient radiators & attic insulation

· Thanks to a Small Scale Capital Works Grant from the Dept. of Rural and Community Development & the Gaeltacht: accessible automatic doors & porch for easier access

When is the library closing?

Mon 10 August, subject to contractor & equipment availability

When will the library re-open?

Estimated November 2026, subject to contractors and utilities providers

In the interim, your nearest dlr Libraries are:

Ballyogan Library, our newest regional Library is at Samuel Beckett Civic Campus, Ballyogan, D18 HT72. Public transport options include L27 or Luas (Ballyogan stop)

Deansgrange Library is located on Clonkeen Drive, Deansgrange, Dublin 18, D18 NY58. Bus routes: E1, L26 or L27
