How to Use Online Services

Do you need help using our online library resources? We are here to provide support through one to one, 30-minute sessions where you will get an introduction to some of our online services including Borrowbox and Libby, available for free from your local library. All you need is a library card and PIN. Please let us know in advance what particular resources you would like help with.

Explore themes of memory and place with Nicola Faull in this guided mixed media collage project linked to meaningful locations and personal history. Celebrate childhood or significant memories using paper and magazine scraps, personal mementos and drawing tools.

Woollen Worlds Felt workshop for Cruinniu na nOg 2026

Woollen Worlds invites children to explore colour, texture, and nature through collaborative needle felt making with artist Jenni Kilgallon. Participants will work together to design and create a large-scale needle felted landscape featuring wildflowers, animals, and imagined natural elements. The artwork will be shared for everyone on Cruinniú na nÓg Saturday 6 June 11.00am - 12.00pm, along with a free drop-in workshop.

Beginners Crochet for Seniors

This beginner-friendly class will teach you the basics of crochet in a relaxed, supportive setting. Learn simple stitches and build confidence. Materials are provided, so just bring your curiosity and creativity.

Crochet for Biodiversity

Scheider Gwei is facilitating another series of crochet workshops in dlr LexIcon. Bring your wool and crochet hooks and complete a project over the 6 sessions.  

 Please note: experience with crochet is required as these workshops are not suitable for beginners.

Quiet Evenings in Cabinteely Library

We want our libraries to be friendly and inclusive spaces for everyone in our community. On Tuesday evenings we will have reduced lighting, sensory toys and noise cancelling headphones, as well as extra assistance upon request and all loud equipment silenced. Assistance dogs are always welcome! 

 

  • Quiet Evenings in Cabinteely library will be held every Tuesday evening, 5.30 - 8.00 pm
