Brigid 1500 Events in dlr Libraries

'Brigid 1500’ is a national programme of events, to celebrate and commemorate St. Brigid the woman, her life and her legacy in a broad and rich way.The programme will engage with the values St. Brigid championed including faith and spirituality, biodiversity and sustainability, arts and culture, social justice, peace, hospitality and education.

dlr Yarnspinners: Storytelling Circle for Adults

dlr LexIcon is delighted to announce a new monthly Yarnspinning Story Circle for adults. This is aimed at gathering together people who are interested in listening to and sharing stories. We will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (*no meeting in July or August) at 6.30pm, Room 4, Level 5, dlr LexIcon. No booking required. Tea/coffee available.

It was quite a challenge to set up and run a book club on Zoom but in May 2020 in the height of the first Covid pandemic lockdown we did just that and nearly three years later the online book club is still going strong. At first we were all mostly confined to our homes so this was a marvellous way to connect with our readers.
