It was quite a challenge to set up and run a book club on Zoom but in May 2020 in the height of the first Covid pandemic lockdown we did just that and nearly three years later the online book club is still going strong. At first we were all mostly confined to our homes so this was a marvellous way to connect with our readers. Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Library Development Plan 2022-2026

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (dlr) launched their new development plan - Beyond our walls: Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Library Development Plan 2022-2026 which sets out the priorities for the development of the library services for the next few years.

Speaking at the launch, Cllr. Mary Hanafin, Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire County Council, said

The plan is ambitious and provides a platform for the library service to respond to the changing needs of our communities.  It will also ensure that we continue to maintain, expand, and develop our library spaces and services”.
