Our aim is to make dlr Libraries an even friendlier and more accessible place to everyone in our community. Libraries are often the bustling heart of our communities with lots going on at any given time, from events to book clubs not to mention beeps from IT equipment. We are aware for some members of our community the noise and sensory overload in many public places, even libraries, can be overwhelming.

In Cabinteely Library, we are learning different ways in which we can make the library more accessible to all of our users. On Tuesday evenings we will have:

An Irish conversation group meet every Saturday from 12.00pm-1.00pm in Deansgrange Library.

Please note: Conversation Groups offer the opportunity to practice speaking a language with others. They are not taught classes

Junior Section, Deansgrange Library

Come to Deansgrange Library and meet other babies, parents and carers.  Suitable for babies under 18 months. 

Read stories and play with toys, this group is self-led. 

All welcome, no booking required.

Every Monday all year round, 10.30am - 11.30am.

Join Library staff every Monday upstairs in the Junior Library for Baby and Toddler Book Club. There will be stories with library staff, then some free time to play with the new toys in Dundrum Library.

12.30pm - 1pm: Stories, songs and rhymes

1pm - 2pm: Free play

The area will remain closed off until 2pm for playtime and for catch up.
