Save the date! The Lab at dlr LexIcon is delighted to host its 8th STEM Camp. Open to all students in Transition Year, this Autumn the programme will run over the course of one week and will bring together a broad range of topics including hands-on workshops and Maker Days. Bloomsday Screening – Old Ghosts
As part of Bloomsday Festival 2026, dlr Libraries is presenting a free screening of Old Ghosts, a short filmed opera created in response to the Penelope episode of Ulysses, in partnership with Irish National Opera. The filmed opera offers a playful and evocative exploration of the imagined origins of Molly Bloom and the final chapter of Ulysses, with music by Evangelia Rigaki and text by Marina Carr. Film Club: Pride Week Screening: A Modern LGBTQ Coming‑of‑Age Favourite
We kick off our Pride celebrations with a special Film Club screening of a modern LGBTQ classic: a beautifully-shot summer story set in 1980s northern Italy, following a young person’s journey through first love, self‑discovery and the intense emotions of a transformative season. Atmospheric, thoughtful and internationally acclaimed, it remains one of the standout queer films of the 21st century.

Reeling in the Queers: Tales of Ireland's LGBTQ Past with Dr Páraic Kerrigan
Join us during Pride week for an in‑depth, research‑driven exploration of Ireland’s LGBTQ histories with scholar and author Dr Páraic Kerrigan. Drawing directly from his book and wider academic work, Dr Kerrigan traces the evolution of queer life in Ireland through media, activism, community spaces and cultural change. This talk offers a rich, contextualised look at Ireland’s queer past—grounded in archival research, interviews and academic scholarship.

Sensory Sessions: Sensory Music with Mary O'Donnell from Music Generation
Designed for neurodistinct children, these sensory music sessions are suitable for ages 4-12 years (with accompanying adult). Each child will explore the wonderful world of sound and music in a relaxed and fun environment. The sessions will include listening to music, playing a carefully-chosen selection of tactile instruments, and will incorporate other sensory elements to enhance the creative experience for all attendees.
Note: Attendees are free to stay for as long as they feel comfortable and may leave with their parent/guardian at any time during the session.
