Following the announcement by the Government that all counties will move to Level 5 of the Plan for Living with Covid-19, from midnight on Wednesday 21 October all dlr Library spaces will remain closed to the public. Click HERE for more information.

Shankill Library was built in 1912 as a Carnegie Library and is characteristic of the Arts and Crafts Movement in its design. Since it was opened the building has been used for several community purposes, including a court house, technical school and dance hall.
